Chapter 4- Finding Mr. Right

For the next week Alexis didn't do a whole lot. She sold her old tub and sink and bought newer models. The toilet was still broken, and mopping up the mess every time she had to "go" was getting old. Alexis came to the conclusion that she could finish her Romance novel that she had started before the computer crashed, if she could just learn to repair the computer. She had zero repair skill, but she gave it her best shot. Within an hour the computer was fixed and Alexis was back to the old grind, writing her next Best Seller.

Days came and passed and it seemed like all Alexis did was clean the house, chat with strangers online, or work on her writings. She dreamed of finding Mr. Right, and was getting discouraged from all the men she met online who were married! She had talked to around 6 men, all of whom were in relationships.

"Are there no single men in this town?" Alexis asked herself. "There has got to be SOMEONE out there for me!" Being such a hopeless romantic, Alexis was determined to find a good man and start her family. All of her wishes revolved around finding "him".

Alexis was getting stir crazy and decided to get out of the house and meet some new people.

She hailed a cab and headed to the Salon and Tattoo Shop. Once inside, she was drawn to a man by the name of Hunter Cottoneye. She strolled over to him and starting making conversation.

Before she knew it, Hunter flew into a fit of rage and started screaming at her!

Alexis accused Hunter of being hot-headed and stormed into the next room. There, she saw a man playing the bass and stopped to watch him. Alexis was very fond of music, and her mood picked up quickly.

Alexis made conversation with a few other people, who had come for makeovers. She realized that the two other guys at the shop were married, and her search was stalled once again. Becoming frustrated with the lack of available suitors, Alexis decided to go home and sleep. Tomorrow would be a new day, and she planned to visit the local dive bar to *hopefully* meet some young, single men!

The next day, after spending the majority of the morning working, Alexis went to Waylon's Haunt. She could use some fun and maybe a drink or two.

She walked in and saw a couple new faces, except they were old enough to be her father. She gagged at the thought of woo-hooing with them. Just then, Vadim Simovitch noticed Alexis walking in alone and took the opportunity to introduce himself.

Vadim was nice, but there was something about him that Alexis didn't like but she couldn't figure out what it was. Suddenly, Vadim started flirting with her. Alexis brushed off Vadim's first attempt, and began chatting with him.

Then, Vadim started flirting again. Alexis wasn't flattered, and walked away. She couldn't stand the thought of seeing Vadim's face every morning. "Yuck!" she thought.

Alexis walked to the bar and sat down. She decided to order a drink. She needed to calm her nerves and pass some time, maybe the man of her dreams would magically appear.

And there he was. Alexis' heart skipped a beat, and she knew she was looking at her future husband.

As soon as she laid eyes on Dallas Vidal, she knew she wanted to flirt with him. But how? He was working and she didn't want to be just another drunk woman hitting on the hot bartender. She wanted to prove that she was something special.

She finished her drink and headed to the foosball table. Happy hour had just finished and the bar was clearing out. She took the only chance she may have had, and invited Dallas to play.

They played foosball for about an hour, talking and laughing. Alexis was having a great time, and she thought Dallas looked like he was too. They ended their game, and Dallas asked Alexis if she would like to dance. Of course she said yes!

They had a wonderful time dancing. It was near closing time, and Alexis took a chance and asked Dallas if he was single.

"I wouldn't have spent half my shift with you if I wasn't" he joked. "I haven't found the right woman yet. I want a large family, and these days, a lot of women want more from their careers and less from their marriage. I am very family oriented." He said.

Photobucket

HE WAS FAMILY ORIENTED! Alexis was about to burst with excitement! She had finally found what seemed to be, her perfect match! She went out on a limb, and confessed her attraction for him. He was now her Romantic Interest.

She wanted to kiss him so badly, but didn't want to scare him off. She decided to just leave with his number and call him later.

She went home alone, extremely happy, but alone.
