Tony was working hard to advance in his career, but on his days off work, he did his best to help Alexis with the children.
Brando had mastered potty training and walking, and Tony pushed him to learn to talk.
Bella was doing well in school, homework was first on her priority list every night. She sometimes skipped dinner to fit more study time into her schedule.
Angelica was now a toddler, and by far the cutest one yet!
Alexis was starting to feel anxious to advance, so when a call came asking her to write a biography about Elaine Joy she was thrilled! She remembered she had a half written Romance novel already started on the computer, so she quickly finished "The Scrapbook". Her weekly royalties doubled, and she couldn't have been happier. Finally the family had the money it needed to expand! She soon started the biography, hoping to see similar profits.
It was nice having 2 toddlers who loved to play together. It kept them occupied and gave Alexis a lot of time to write when Tony was working.
Tony came home on his birthday with great news, he had been promoted to Team Captain! What a great birthday present! He only needed 2 more promotions to fulfill his lifetime wish. Alexis just needed 2 more children (to raise to teenagers).
Bella showed no interest in anything besides becoming best friends with her father. She spent every moment that she could talking to him. She wished she could play a game with Tony, but he was always too busy with work.
Tony always encouraged her to improve her skills, but she just wanted to play a game with her dad! She took his advice, and started writing like her mom. Maybe Tony would appreciate her if she were smarter?
But all Tony did was exercise and care for the babies. He didn't have time for his oldest daughter.
Bella became very upset. Her moodlets were negative and she quit helping around the house. What was the point? All her mom did was nag her to clean, and her dad never had more than a 5 minute conversation with her.
Soon, Alexis was pregnant again. She decided to tell break the news to Bella herself. Bella, still upset about being ignored, gave a half-smile and asked her mom "Can I do anything to help you out Mom?" Alexis hugged Bella, "Not right now hun."
When Tony came home that night, Alexis stopped him in the kitchen as he started to make dinner.
"Bella seems weird lately." Alexis said
"Well, her birthday is coming soon. You know how those teenage hormones can be." Tony replied.
"No Tony, I don't think that's it."
"Well, what then?"
"I don't know. She seems...lonely."
"Lonely?"
"Yeah, maybe you could do something with her? A movie maybe? .She has no friends, and I think she could use some special attention"
"I'll talk to her later." Tony said, and sat down at the new, larger dining room table Alexis had recently bought.
After dinner, Tony asked Bella if she wanted to play catch. He wasn't sure how to talk to his little girl, all he seemed to know was sports. Bella took the opportunity to spend some quality time with her dad. Catch wasn't her first choice of activity, but beggars couldn't be choosers.
While they played with the football, they chatted.
"So what's new little girl?" Tony joked.
"Not much." Bella said
"Your mom seems to think that something is wrong. Are you okay?"
"Yeah, fine." Bella started, "Actually dad, no. I am not fine... All you do is work dad! I have been wanting to spend time with you my entire childhood! Here I am about to become a teenager, and I am playing catch with my father for the first time!"
"I had no idea you felt that way." Tony said
"You would, if you didn't work so much."
"Well, I have to work so much. Our family needs the money. I'll make you a deal though, I will make it a point to play with you every day that I have off. You will be my pal. We can do whatever you want! Actually, I am off tomorrow. What do you want to do?"
"Tag?" Bella smirked.
The next day, they played tag for hours.
